October 25th, 2024: Aer Lingus celebrates its inaugural flight to Las Vegas today, with return fares to any destination in the United States for just €399 return, including taxes and charges. The sale starts at 9am today, Friday 25th October, and will finish at midnight on Saturday, 26th October.

The new Dublin-Las Vegas route will operate three times per week on a widebody Airbus A330-300, offering Irish customers a direct flight to the Neon City.

Announcing Aer Lingus’ arrival in Las Vegas, the Irish carrier became the first airline to take over the city’s skyline with a dazzling aircraft activation on the Exosphere – the exterior of Sphere, the globally-recognised next-generation entertainment medium. This stunning spectacle was timed to coincide with the inaugural flight’s arrival into Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport.

Las Vegas marks another milestone in the growth of Aer Lingus’ transatlantic network, with 18 routes to the United States now offered by the airline from Dublin Airport. Aer Lingus will operate this seasonal route to/from Las Vegas on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday up until 29 April 2025, taking in next Easter mid-term break.

For those hoping to book their own US adventure, Aer Lingus has introduced special fares of just €399 until midnight Saturday, October 26th. The offer is valid for travel between Ireland and the United States from November 1st to December 16th and from January 7th to January 31st.

Speaking ahead of the inaugural flight, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, Susanne Carberry said: “Aer Lingus’ new direct connection between Ireland and Nevada is a significant milestone for our growth across North America. We are marking the occasion by becoming the first airline to activate on the Exosphere, the exterior of one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, showcasing our iconic shamrock branding to the world. Whether it’s a landmark birthday, or a special trip to see all that Las Vegas has to offer, we look forward to bringing our customers straight to the heart of the Neon City.

“For our friends in Nevada, Aer Lingus is the only European carrier that flies non-stop to Ireland, offering convenient and easy onward travel and connections right across the UK and Europe through our Dublin Airport hub.”

Rosemary Vassiliadis, Clark County Department of Aviation Director, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Aer Lingus and, for the first time ever, offer service directly from Ireland to Las Vegas. Over the past several years, Las Vegas has transformed from the entertainment capital of the world, to now the sports and entertainment capital of the world. With that, air travel demand has increased exponentially, and providing more convenient international travel options is crucial in ensuring that travelers can enjoy everything the destination has to offer.”

Steve Hill, CEO and President of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority added: “This new Aer Lingus service marks a significant milestone in connecting Irish travelers to Las Vegas and is a testament to our city’s global appeal. More than 50,000 people traveled from Ireland to Vegas last year and we know that number will grow thanks to this direct flight. This route opens exciting opportunities for both leisure and business travelers from Europe. Now more than ever, visitors can access everything Vegas has to offer - from our ever-changing skyline with all-new resorts and cutting-edge venues to international sporting events and so much more.”

Aer Lingus flies to 18 destinations in the United States, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Cleveland, New York, and Boston. The airline flies 24 transatlantic routes from its Dublin, Shannon and Manchester bases. From April 12, 2025, Aer Lingus will fly to Nashville four times per week. The airline will also commence a new route to Indianapolis, also flying four times per week from May 3, 2025.

As always, customers flying to North America with Aer Lingus will enjoy complimentary meals, endless hours of in-flight entertainment, and US Customs and Border pre-clearance at Dublin and Shannon airports.
