Friday 16th May – Aer Lingus today celebrated 11 years of giving back to their local community with a volunteer day at a local Dublin school. Over 120 Aer Lingus employees volunteered to help transform the grounds of Gaelscoil Uí Earcáin, in Finglas, Dublin as part of Aer Lingus’ volunteer initiative, Make a Difference Day. The occasion saw employees from across the airline including cabin crew, pilots, engineers, operational and office team members roll up their sleeves to transform the outdoor spaces of the school.

Pupils at the school and volunteers from Aer Lingus worked together on projects to transform outdoor spaces into practical and sustainable areas that can be used by all the school community.

Donal Moriarty, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Aer Lingus said, ‘The Make a Difference Day is our largest annual volunteer event at Aer Lingus and we are thrilled to have it take place at Gaelscoil Uí Earcáin in Finglas this year where volunteers helped develop exciting and sustainable outdoor spaces for pupils and teachers. Our involvement with local communities is something we pride ourselves on at Aer Lingus and we hope this year’s Make a Difference Day will inspire and encourage pupils to continue making a difference in their own communities for years to come.’
