26 March 2019: AerClub, Aer Lingus’ loyalty programme with over 1 million members, is now enabling members save money on the cost of their flights with the introduction of ‘Pay with Avios’. ‘Pay with Avios’ is available through aerlingus.com and on Aer Lingus mobile app. The more Avios guests have, the greater discounts they can enjoy.

AerClub members can collect Avios ‘in the air’ each time they fly, ‘on the ground’ with partners such as SuperValu, Kildare Village, Aer Credit Card in partnership with Bank of Ireland and ‘online’ via the AerClub eStore. The AerClub eStore https://estore.aerlingus.com/ is home to hundreds of leading retail, hotel and car hire brands, across Ireland, Europe and North America including apple, M&S, ASOS, Gap, Nike, hotels.com to name just a few, and members can collect up to 12 Avios for every euro, dollar or pound they spend there.

The Pay with Avios functionality has been integrated into the booking process on aerlingus.com and via the app. When guests log in and book their flights they will be offered money-off options determined by their Avios balance. The money-off amount reduces the total basket cost which includes the cost of flights and any Aer Lingus related add-ons such as priority boarding, checked baggage or seat selection.

AerClub is made up of four membership tiers – Green, Silver, Platinum and Concierge. Each tier has a unique combination of travel benefits which may include lounge access, priority check in, priority boarding and bonus Avios earning. In recognition of each Aer Lingus flight taken, AerClub award Tier Credits - the more Tier Credits collected, the quicker members will move up to the next membership tier and the more travel benefits they will enjoy.

AerClub members will collect Avios each time they buy a flight with Aer Lingus and its partner airlines - British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas and United Airlines.

AerClub has teamed up with a number of partners to ensure members can collect Avios in lots of ways – weekly shop at SuperValu, retail therapy at Kildare Village, a getaway to the five-star Merrion Hotel or a chauffeur with Devine’s Chauffeur Service for a special occasion, together with other retail partners such as Holidays with Aer Lingus, and hotel providers such as Agoda, Kaligo.com and Rocketmiles.

Online shopping via the AerClub eStore also allows members to collect Avios with over 100 top name Irish and international brands.

Aer Credit Card

Aer Lingus recently teamed up with Bank of Ireland to launch Aer Credit Card. The Aer Credit Card offers all the convenience of a regular credit card but also features unique travel rewards for consumers. In addition, cardholders can collect 1 Avios for every €1 spent on Aer Lingus products and services and 1 Avios for every €4 spent on all other transactions.
