Aer Lingus’ inaugural service direct from Cork to Nice, France will take to the skies this evening at 5.30pm from Cork Airport. Connecting the South of Ireland to the South of France, Aer Lingus flight EI 826 will be operated by an A320 aircraft and the new service will fly every Wednesday and Sunday.

The inaugural flight marks the commencement of Aer Lingus’ summer 2019 schedule with over 1 million Aer Lingus seats available from the Rebel County this summer, an increase of 4% since summer 2018. Aer Lingus is the largest airline servicing Cork Airport both in frequency of flights and seat capacity, connecting Cork Airport to 23 destinations across the year, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to the county. The addition of the new Cork to Nice route will now allow those travelling from Cork Airport to jet direct to the sunshine and beautiful scenery of the South of France with Ireland’s only 4 Star airline.

For those in the Munster region seeking a sunshine escape, Nice’s pebble beaches, boutique-lined streets and spectacular surrounding views on the Cote D’Azur make it a long-standing favourite amongst holiday makers. Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains – culture, history, and natural beauty come together seamlessly in the French seaside city making it the ideal destination for travellers of all types.
