Aer Lingus Celebrates Two Millionth Transatlantic Guest in 2018
Aer Lingus, Ireland’s only 4 Star airline, recently celebrated its two millionth transatlantic booking this week and on Tuesday 27 November the airline welcomed Damien Coin-Perard on board flight EI147 who made the milestone booking.
Damien’s journey from Paris to San Francisco via Dublin was even more enjoyable than he could have anticipated when he was upgraded to Business Class courtesy of the airline and he also received two complimentary flights to fly with Aer Lingus from North America to a European city of his choice.
Available on its transatlantic services, Aer Lingus’ business class offering boasts a fully lie flat seat allowing guests to stretch out and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. Business class guests also enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, the latest blockbuster movies and TV series packaged in more than 120 hours of inflight entertainment, not to mention the finest Irish cuisine.
Since joining IAG in 2015, Aer Lingus has launched eight new direct transatlantic services to North America including Los Angeles, Newark, Hartford, Miami, Philadelphia, Seattle and most recently Montreal and Minneapolis-St. Paul, marking the largest ever transatlantic expansion in the airline’s history. Summer 2019 Aer Lingus will offer more 3 million seats on its longhaul network.
Aer Lingus continues to drive its strategy of expanding the airline’s Dublin Airport base into a major European transatlantic gateway. The airline offers seamless connections from Europe and the UK to its 15 destinations across North America. Connecting via Dublin, Aer Lingus guests can experience the benefit of US Immigration Preclearance before they depart which allows them to arrive into the US like a domestic passenger, avoiding any lengthy queues.
Commenting on the milestone occasion, Ruth Ranson, Director of Communications at Aer Lingus, said, “We are delighted to welcome Mr Coin-Perard on board Aer Lingus today who marked our two million transatlantic booking travelling from Paris to San Francisco. Growing our transatlantic network continues to be a significant focus for Aer Lingus. Our ambition is to be the leading value carrier across the North Atlantic, not just connecting Ireland to North America, but also connecting the UK and Europe via our Dublin gateway.”
